Where We Are Now
After finding and remediating mold twice in our Colorado home, we abandoned ship in October 2008. Because of the high levels of exposure, our entire family was affected. After months of seeing different specialists for all of the problems, we came to Arizona to begin comprehensive treatment to rid our bodies of the toxic buildup. In August 2009 we moved into a larger home, four bedrooms, south of Tucson, north of Mexico. I am doing my daily radio program/ writing from that location. Thanks for praying for us. We really feel it.

On Monday's CFL we dealt with a touchy issue--maybe it was too broad now that I think back on it--but it was a reaction to a New York Times article about young evangelicals and how they don't want to be associated with the political world or the "radical right."
Several callers brought up some good points and our guests also had good insight. For me, the bottom line is being able to genuinely and in a caring way reach out to people who don't agree with our stand on moral issues, all the while standing firm on those issues no matter what the fallout.
I hope the conversation brought some light to the subject. No doubt, in an election year, we'll be coming back to this more and more.

Hi Chris,
I'm new to this blogging thing and am not at all computer literate. So, what I'm wanting to comment on is your program topic on June 12th. I was in the car that day traveling and wasn't to be home for several days.
You were asking your audience to reply to your question about what is our voting approach. Something like that.
I came to the scripture that says we are to seek first the Kingdom of God AND His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
I realized there and then that I should vote for those candidates that most came in line with this truth. What is righteousness? Is it voting for a candidate that will get us out of the war or will be more aggressive to win the war? Or is it a candidate who will clean up the air and water--an eco-friendly candidate? Or how about a business savvy candidate that will get our economy on track? No, not to me.
It's a candidate and party that fights for righteousness. Without knowing it, maybe, fighting against sin. The bible is clear as to what sin is--Romans 1, for one. It seems to me that sexual immorality and the breakdown of the family and murder of unborns is right up there. Tantamount. God says it's because of idolatry that He gives us over to these sins. Economy, wars and clean air are effects not causes.
I believe what God says. He says in His Word that obedience brings blessings and disobedience, cursings. In the OT, God said that the Israelites would win wars and "have rain in due season" if they were obedient. To me "rain in due season" is a thriving economy. I think wisdom in how to solve our country's problems comes from "seeking after righteousness".
So, I will vote for the party and candidate that attempts to stem the tide of this "out of control" society. Are they themselves perfect? No. But I have to deal with what I have and pray.
