Where We Are Now

After finding and remediating mold twice in our Colorado home, we abandoned ship in October 2008. Because of the high levels of exposure, our entire family was affected. After months of seeing different specialists for all of the problems, we came to Arizona to begin comprehensive treatment to rid our bodies of the toxic buildup. In August 2009 we moved into a larger home, four bedrooms, south of Tucson, north of Mexico. I am doing my daily radio program/ writing from that location. Thanks for praying for us. We really feel it.

My friend Dan did the painting. Now all I need is a really long phone cord and I'm on the road. This is as close to Hee Haw as it gets, folks.

I love it, Chris! LOVE IT!

Even amidst all the "bumps in the road"... you continue to produce a quality program--and it's a joy to listen to "Chris Fabry Live!" every day via the internet connection in my office.

I'm praying for the Fabrys in this time of "transition."

It kind of reminds me of a scene from "National Lampoon Christmas Vacation"...Hmmmmmm Ya gotta keep your sense of humor! Remember,God loves you and your family sooooo much.

Thanks for the pictures, Chris. When you said "van", I was picturing something like the A-Team used to use for their surveillance stakeouts!

Hmmm... we've got mentions of Hee Haw, National Lampoon and A-Team. Sounds like quite a mix!

Good evening Chris, it so great to have the oppurtunity to speak with you. I almost got through on Friday but we ran out of time.

My question is for the gentleman who called in to share his story about his grandson, "Justice" and his father who is in law school.

I took this personal because my brother is in a much similar boat and is traveling to where his son was.

My brother worked for the govt (forestry) for a number of years while dating his young highshcool sweetheart. They were married and at this time she is a nurse and he has now moved into a well-respected
law enforcement officer and also did land construction on the side. Many days working all day long and then on the road to see some of the things that they saw that were horrific as an officer. My belief is that he may even suffer from non-diagnosed Post traumatic stress disorder.

I won't ellaborate any further, just know that he resigned respectfully from the patrol, moved on to his full-time thriving land construction business. And began a family.

Currently my brother and his wife of 4 years are now on the brink of divorce, my brother is as unhappy as I have ever seen anyone. He suffers from severe back pain for which he takes multiple medicaitons to alleviate. He is a bit stubborn so if one pill doesn't work, he feels that he should just keep taking them until the pain stops. However, he is never pain free. He is irritable, moody, cares for no one but himself and his son, although he speaks to his son so harsh, those who do not love my brother or do not know him, may think that he doesn't love his son either. But I do know that this is true.

My father, southern baptist minister and my awesome mother are hurting. They don't discuss often but I know, I can see it. We pray, and plead and still the same behaviors.

I would like to know what to do. Is there a special prayer that the gentle (Justice's grandfather)prayed for his son? Did the son attend church services at all?

As I traveled outside of the country a couple of years ago and thought that mission work would be an awesome thing for me to do. But, God has and continues to reveal to me all of the mission work available to me not only in my own country but in my own family. He also reminded me that to become active in church is also serving him and I was not doing that.

I want to begin some sort of mission work with my family, but I do not know where to begin.

Do you or your listeners have any suggestions?

Sincerely,

Candace Moore

Candace,
I don't think there is any "magic prayer" or "spiritual pill" that makes this happen. It's like the persistent widow. You simply continue to be faithful to pray and to love that family member as Jesus would. I'm sure there are specific ways you could love them that would be even more meaningful--if you've never read The Five Love Languages, get a copy and speak that person's language that means most to them and see how it works. Thanks for writing.
