Where We Are Now

After finding and remediating mold twice in our Colorado home, we abandoned ship in October 2008. Because of the high levels of exposure, our entire family was affected. After months of seeing different specialists for all of the problems, we came to Arizona to begin comprehensive treatment to rid our bodies of the toxic buildup. In August 2009 we moved into a larger home, four bedrooms, south of Tucson, north of Mexico. I am doing my daily radio program/ writing from that location. Thanks for praying for us. We really feel it.

My friend from the Chicago area asked if she could hijack this blog. I'll get to her in a moment. First another update:

We have some friends with a house they've never lived in. It's something like 3800 square feet with a nice view. Only 3 bedrooms, but at this point we're not looking for a floor plan, we're looking for a floor. I'm supposed to go over tonight to sign papers, etc.

Thanks for your kindness and prayers. From the emails from listeners I can tell God
is going to do something really good through all of this. And in his own time.

Now, here's what my friend, Sherry, wrote:

(Hey, Chris - Can I borrow your blog to speak to my fellow listeners for a moment? Thanks!)

Hello, fellow listeners!

I know there are a lot of you who, like me, would like to come alongside the Fabry family in a tangible way as they deal with this major upheaval in their lives, so I thought I'd pass this along: To help meet some of their immediate needs, Moody Radio is suggesting that we purchase gift cards to major chain stores (Walmart, Target, Kohl's, etc.) and mail them to the following address:

Moody Radio
Attn: Amy Rios
820 N. LaSalle Blvd.
Chicago, IL 60610

Moody will make sure that Chris and his family receive these gifts in a timely manner.

I hope this is helpful to those of you who want to express your love and encouragement in this way, and let's remember to keep uplifting the Fabry family in prayer during this difficult time in their lives.

My heart breaks for you guys. The amount of memories made by 11 people in 8 years is beyond counting! We are praying for you as God walks you to this new place. I guess He is quite an expert at that since He does it all the time in so many lives. Look expectantly as you grieve and wonder what is ahead...

I'm praying that God will continue to direct you and your family through the "mold mess". Because you are more easily accessed by the public, what you and Andrea are doing to expose this health concern is a mighty work in itself. The decisions you have had to make have been inspiring to those of us who have fought for years with these silent raiders. Fortunately I didn't have the brood you have depending on me that you have.
I have been allergic to molds for years - various ones with various reactions. As we do the 'continuing manitenence' of owning our home I hope to have all hardwood floors at some point. What a difference it makes. However, as you had to make the decision about your pets, I will always have a 4 legged friend of feline or canine pepsonalilty.
I was reading in Deuteromony 28:11 - 13 where this event in your life will bring more blessings than you could ever have imagined.
God bless you and your family, and may it be so.

Over the past few weeks I have heard bits and pieces of the situation with your home but tonight I got online to ChrisFabry Live and your blog to get the whole story. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know that God is working out all of Romans 8:28 for your family in this situation. Our pastor preached on this passage last Sunday. His theme, "You don't know how good you have it". Even though he spoke about this in response to the events of the past few weeks it is true for most of us some time in our lives when "the bottom drops out". I will be 69 on Nov. 4and a Christian for 54 years. God has been extremely faithful to me and my family over these years. You and your family will get through this by God's grace. I will be praying for you all.
